Position Summary
The General Manager & Operating Partner is responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and profitability of the restaurant. This role combines operational management with a strategic partnership mindset, ensuring the restaurant operates efficiently while driving revenue growth, cost control, employee development, and exceptional guest experiences.
This role includes the opportunity to participate as an Operating Partner through a equity model, subject to agreed vesting terms and company policy.
As an Operating Partner, the individual will work closely with ownership to execute the restaurant’s vision, contribute to business strategy, and take accountability for financial performance, operational excellence, and long-term brand success.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership
- Lead and oversee all daily restaurant operations to ensure efficiency, profitability, and high service standards.
- Promote and uphold the mission, values, and culture of the restaurant.
- Ensure full compliance with operational standards, policies, and training programs.
- Maintain consistent delivery of exceptional guest service and product quality.
- Act as the primary operational leader responsible for day-to-day decision-making.
Financial Performance & Profitability
- Take ownership of the restaurant’s financial performance, including revenue growth and cost control.
- Monitor daily sales, labor costs, food costs, and operational expenses.
- Implement strategies to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
- Manage cash handling, deposits, reconciliation, and financial reporting.
- Oversee monthly inventory and ensure accurate reporting and cost management.
- Identify and prevent operational losses including waste, theft, and inefficiencies.
Staff Leadership & Culture Development
- Recruit, hire, train, and develop a high-performing restaurant team.
- Create a positive, collaborative, and performance-driven work environment.
- Conduct performance reviews and manage employee development plans.
- Build strong employee retention strategies through engagement and leadership.
- Manage staff scheduling to meet operational needs while maintaining labor targets.
Guest Experience & Brand Standards
- Ensure every guest receives friendly, responsive, and professional service.
- Address and resolve guest concerns promptly and effectively.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, service, presentation, and hospitality.
- Foster a culture where guest satisfaction is a top priority.
Facilities, Safety & Compliance
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary restaurant environment.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to health, safety, and labor.
- Oversee maintenance of restaurant equipment and facilities.
- Coordinate with vendors including pest control, maintenance, and waste management services.
Strategic Planning & Business Development
- Collaborate with ownership to develop operational goals, budgets, and growth strategies.
- Identify opportunities to increase revenue through marketing initiatives, promotions, events, and partnerships.
- Contribute to menu planning, pricing strategies, and product innovation.
- Support long-term planning and operational improvements for the business.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate operational records, reports, and documentation.
- Manage internal communications through email and operational platforms.
- Utilize restaurant technology including POS systems, inventory software, and scheduling platforms.
Event Management & Guest Relations
· Oversee private events including parties, banquets, and receptions.
· Coordinate event logistics with clients and internal teams.
· Support the team during peak hours by assisting with service when necessary.
Community Leadership & Engagement

Qualifications & Preferred Skills· Proven leadership experience in restaurant or hospitality management.
· Strong operational, financial, and team management skills.
· Ability to lead a high-performing team in a fast-paced environment.
· Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
· Experience with POS systems, inventory management, and restaurant technology.
· Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred.
Tools & Technology
The General Manager & Operating Partner must be proficient in or willing to learn:

Physical & Work Environment Requirements
