GM Responsibilities:
Role Overview
The General Manager will play a critical leadership role in driving organizational strategy, ensuring operational excellence, and scaling impact-driven environmental projects. This role requires a strong blend of strategic thinking, execution capability, team leadership, and stakeholder management.
1. Strategic Leadership & Organizational Oversight
Objective: Provide overall leadership and strategic direction across the organization.
- Lead and oversee all key functions: Projects, HR, Administration, Finance, and Communications
- Ensure alignment of departmental goals with organizational vision and annual targets
- Drive performance management across departments and ensure timely delivery of outputs
- Identify operational gaps and implement process improvements for efficiency
- Act as the final authority on operational and administrative decisions
- Represent the organization in key external forums, client meetings, and partnerships
2. Project Planning, Execution & Monitoring
Objective: Ensure effective delivery of projects with quality, timelines, and impact.
- Oversee end-to-end project lifecycle from planning to execution and reporting
- Review and approve project proposals, budgets, and technical documentation
- Conduct periodic reviews to track progress and ensure cross-team coordination
- Monitor quality of field execution, documentation, and reporting standards
- Ensure seamless coordination between field teams and central office
3. Business Development & Client Relations
Objective: Drive growth through strategic partnerships and CSR engagements.
- Manage relationships with corporates, government bodies, and key stakeholders
- Oversee proposal development, budgeting, and client communication
- Identify new opportunities in CSR, sustainability, and restoration sectors
- Lead partnership discussions, MoUs, and agreement negotiations
- Strengthen long-term partnerships through regular engagement and reviews
4. HR, Administration & Office Management Oversight
Objective: Ensure efficient internal systems and operational discipline.
- Supervise HR functions including hiring, payroll, attendance, and appraisals
- Ensure smooth administrative operations and office management
- Oversee financial discipline and approve operational expenditures
- Ensure compliance with policies, documentation, and statutory requirements
- Build and maintain a professional and transparent work culture
5. Leadership & Team Development
Objective: Build a high-performing and accountable team.
- Mentor and guide department heads and senior team members
- Conduct regular performance reviews and strategy meetings
- Drive capacity building and professional development initiatives
- Foster ownership, collaboration, and a results-driven work environment
Eligibility & Requirements
- 8–12+ years of experience in operations, Plantation project management, or leadership roles
- Prior experience in Healthcare or wellness sectors preferred
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and large-scale projects Required Skills
