About the Role
Geetham Veg Restaurant is looking for an experienced and hands-on GM Maintenance to oversee engineering, facilities, preventive maintenance, infrastructure upkeep, AMC management, and equipment reliability across multiple restaurant outlets.
The role requires building structured maintenance systems, minimizing equipment downtime, standardizing SOPs, and ensuring smooth engineering operations across all locations.
Key Responsibilities
● Create and implement preventive maintenance SOPs for all restaurant equipment and infrastructure.
● Manage regular upkeep of kitchen equipment, refrigeration units, HVAC systems, electricals, plumbing, exhaust systems, DG/UPS, fire & safety systems, and civil maintenance.
● Develop and monitor preventive maintenance schedules across all outlets.
● Create complete equipment inventory outlet-wise and implement asset tagging systems for all equipment.
● Build and maintain AMC trackers including vendor details, service schedules, renewal timelines, and SLA monitoring.
● Centralize maintenance documentation, reports, and records through shared drives/software systems.
● Maintain complete engineering documentation including:
○ Equipment inventory & asset register
○ AMC tracker
○ Preventive maintenance logs
○ Breakdown reports
○ Service history records
○ Vendor database
○ Compliance & audit records
● Standardize SOPs and maintenance processes across all outlets.
● Implement monthly engineering and infrastructure audit systems outlet-wise.
● Create vendor escalation matrix and ensure timely issue resolution.
● Track breakdown frequency, recurring issues, and downtime outlet-wise with corrective action plans.
● Build capex planning and equipment replacement systems based on asset lifecycle and performance.
● Coordinate with outlet managers, technicians, and vendors for timely maintenance closure.
● Monitor utility consumption and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
● Ensure compliance with safety, electrical, and statutory maintenance requirements.
Requirements
● 10+ years of experience in maintenance/facilities/engineering operations.
● Prior experience in restaurants, hospitality, retail chains, hotels, or multi-outlet operations preferred.
● Strong knowledge of kitchen equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and facility maintenance.
● Experience handling AMC vendors, preventive maintenance systems, and engineering audits.
● Strong documentation, vendor management, reporting, and team coordination skills.
● Ability to independently manage multi-outlet engineering operations and scalable maintenance systems.
