General Manager – Knitted Garments Manufacturing
Location: Tiruppur, Tamil Nadu (On-site)
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: ₹65,000 – ₹90,000 per month

We specialize in premium polo T-shirts, oversized T-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, and other knitted garments, serving domestic and international brands with high-quality, customized manufacturing solutions.
Role
We are looking for an experienced General Manager to lead our knitted garment manufacturing operations. The role is responsible for overseeing end-to-end factory operations, including knitting, dyeing and processing coordination, cutting, stitching, finishing, quality control, packing, and dispatch, while ensuring production targets, quality standards, and on-time delivery are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end garment manufacturing operations.
- Plan production schedules and optimize factory capacity.
- Improve line efficiency, productivity, and quality.
- Coordinate with merchandising, sourcing, stores, and logistics teams.
- Ensure buyer compliance, quality standards, and timely deliveries.
- Monitor production KPIs, budgets, and manufacturing costs.
- Lead, mentor, and develop production and quality teams.
- Drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain workplace safety and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Garment Technology, Production Management, or a related field.
- 10–15 years of experience in knitted garment/apparel manufacturing.
- Proven experience managing complete factory operations in a knitwear manufacturing unit.
- Strong knowledge of production planning, quality systems, industrial engineering, and lean manufacturing.
- Experience working with ERP or production management systems.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in Tamil and English to manage factory operations and workforce efficiently.
Preferred Experience
Candidates with prior experience handling export-oriented knitwear factories and managing multiple production lines will be given preference.
