Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a General Manager (Coal Washery) located in Bilaspur. The General Manager will oversee and manage operations of the coal washery, ensuring productivity, efficiency, safety, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include leading teams, optimizing processes, ensuring timely production targets, maintaining and improving facility performance, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders for smooth operations. The role also involves ensuring safety protocols, workforce management, and reporting on operational and financial performance to company leadership.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in coal washery operations, process optimization, and plant management
- Leadership and team management capabilities, including workforce supervision and engagement
- Knowledge of safety standards, environmental regulations, and compliance requirements
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and stakeholder management experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus
- Demonstrated ability to work on-site and handle operational challenges in a dynamic work environment
- Experience in similar roles, preferably within the coal or mining industry, will be an added advantage
