Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented General Manager – Business Development (Techno-Commercial) to lead strategic growth for our 3rd Party OSD pharmaceutical manufacturing business across domestic and international markets.
The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in contract manufacturing, third-party pharma business development, techno-commercial negotiations, key account management, and international market expansion, with a strong network across pharma companies, distributors, and institutional buyers.
This leadership role will drive revenue growth, strategic partnerships, product commercialisation, and market expansion initiatives for Supermax Laboratories.
Key Responsibilities :
Business Growth & Revenue
- Lead end-to-end business development strategy for 3rd party OSD manufacturing.
- Drive revenue growth through new client acquisition and strategic partnerships.
- Expand domestic and international CDMO / contract manufacturing business.
- Identify high-potential markets, product segments, and institutional opportunities.
- Build annual and quarterly sales pipeline and revenue forecasts.
Techno-Commercial Leadership
- Handle techno-commercial discussions with clients for formulation feasibility, costing, packaging, MOQ, and commercialisation.
- Lead commercial negotiations for pricing, margins, payment terms, and long-term contracts.
- Collaborate with R&D, regulatory, QA, SCM, and production teams for smooth product transfer.
- Evaluate product viability, dossier readiness, and manufacturing capabilities.
Client & Key Account Management
- Manage large domestic pharma accounts and international buyers.
- Build long-term relationships with pharma marketers, exporters, PCD companies, and institutional clients.
- Lead strategic discussions with senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Ensure high client retention and repeat order growth.
Market Expansion
- Identify opportunities in:
- Domestic pharma companies
- International generic players
- Government & institutional tenders
- Export partnerships
- Loan license/contract manufacturing
Leadership
- Mentor and lead the BD team for target achievement.
- Build SOPs for pipeline management, lead qualification, and proposal systems.
- Coordinate with senior management on growth strategy.
Required Candidate Profile :
- 20+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical business development
- Strong experience in 3rd-party OSD manufacturing
- Proven domestic and international market exposure
- Strong techno-commercial negotiation skills
- Existing network with pharma companies and distributors
- Strong understanding of:
- Tablets
- Capsules
- Beta-lactam / non-beta-lactam
- Regulatory documentation
- Commercial costing
- Leadership experience in managing senior BD teams
