Job Summary:
Matrix Geo Solutions Limited is seeking an experienced and strategic General Manager – Business Development to lead and scale the company’s sales function. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, developing sales strategies, and building a high-performing sales team across key sectors such as GIS, Railways, Roads, and Water infrastructure. This role requires a strong leader who can identify new market opportunities, manage complex client relationships, and lead high-value deal closures. The candidate should have a deep understanding of the engineering consultancy domain and a proven track record in business development and sales leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and business growth Lead, mentor, and build a strong sales team across multiple sectors
- Identify new business opportunities and expand into new markets
- Manage end-to-end sales cycle including lead generation, client meetings, proposal development, negotiation, and deal closure
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients, government bodies, and industry partners Drive strategic planning, forecasting, and performance tracking using KPIs
- Provide complete visibility of the sales pipeline and ensure timely reporting to leadership
- Collaborate with execution, technical, and marketing teams for seamless project delivery and client satisfaction
- Personally engage in closing high-value and strategic deals
- Develop and implement lead generation strategies (both inbound and outbound)
- Represent the company in client meetings, presentations, and industry events across India
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering / related field or MBA (Sales/Marketing)
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in Business Development/Sales in GIS, Infrastructure, or Engineering Consultancy domain

- Willingness to travel Pan India for business development
Preferred Profile:
- Experience in handling government and large enterprise clients
- Strong industry network in geospatial/infrastructure sectors
- Age preference: 35+ (preferred, not mandatory)
