Job Title: General Manager - Sales Trainer
About the Role
Seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Trainer with a strong background in the automobile industry to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering impactful training programs for sales teams across dealerships and internal sales staff. The goal of this role is to enhance product knowledge, strengthen sales capabilities, and improve overall dealership performance.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in automobile sales and training, with the ability to mentor sales professionals and implement effective sales strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Training & Development
- Design and deliver comprehensive sales training programs for dealership sales consultants and internal sales teams.
- Conduct training sessions on automobile product knowledge, sales processes, negotiation techniques, and customer engagement.
- Develop and update training materials including presentations, training manuals, and learning modules.
- Conduct classroom training as well as on-field coaching sessions for dealership teams.
Performance Enhancement
- Identify training needs by analyzing sales performance and dealership requirements.
- Provide regular coaching and mentoring to sales staff to improve their sales approach and closing skills.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and track improvements in sales performance.
Dealer Network Support
- Work closely with dealership partners to maintain high sales standards and customer experience.
- Conduct dealership visits to support training initiatives and ensure implementation of sales best practices.
- Guide dealership sales teams on effective customer engagement and sales conversion techniques.
Sales Strategy Alignment
- Collaborate with sales leadership to align training programs with organizational sales targets.
- Stay updated with new automobile products, technologies, and competitor offerings.
- Provide insights and feedback to improve sales strategies and training effectiveness.
Key Skills Required
- Strong understanding of automobile sales processes and dealership operations
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Proven ability to train, mentor, and motivate sales teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in both classroom training and field coaching
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
- Certification in Sales Training or Learning & Development will be an added advantage
Experience
- 8–10 years of experience in automobile sales, dealership management, or sales training
- Experience working with automobile dealerships or OEM sales teams
- Proven track record in delivering successful sales training programs
