ABOUT THE COMPANY:
Vistar B2B is a fast-growing startup in the industrial B2B space, focused on transforming how manufacturing companies procure materials through a digital eCommerce platform. We are starting in Chennai and expanding across industrial hubs in India, with a strong focus on customer experience, operational excellence, and scalable growth.
ROLE OVERVIEW:
The General Manager is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth, profitability, and business expansion. This role will lead Sales, Operations, Business Development, and Customer Service while building a high-performance team and ensuring excellent customer satisfaction.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Business & Growth
- Drive revenue growth, profitability, and market share
- Develop and execute business and expansion strategies
- Identify new market opportunities and growth areas
Sales & Market Development
- Lead and manage national-level sales operations
- Strengthen OEM and key customer relationships
- Define pricing, positioning, and go-to-market strategies
Operations & Execution
- Ensure efficient operations and service delivery
- Improve processes, productivity, and performance metrics
- Manage forecasting, demand planning, and business targets
Team & Leadership
- Build, lead, and scale a high-performance team
- Drive a strong performance-driven culture
- Develop talent and leadership within the organisation
Partnerships & Strategy
- Build long-term partnerships with vendors and stakeholders
- Support leadership in strategic decision-making
- Contribute to product and market development initiatives
REQUIREMENTS:
- 15+ years experience in B2B / Industrial / Manufacturing sector
- Proven experience managing national sales teams
- Strong track record in driving revenue growth and scaling business
- Experience in pumps / fluid equipment/automation preferred
- Strong understanding of P&L, forecasting, and operations
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
- BE required; MBA preferred
