Role Description The General Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, responsible for overseeing overall business operations and driving organizational performance. This role includes managing day-to-day activities across departments, setting and monitoring operational and financial targets, and ensuring alignment with company strategy and growth objectives. The General Manager will lead and develop teams, implement process improvements, and maintain high standards for product quality, customer service, and safety. Responsibilities also include budgeting, forecasting, vendor and partner management, and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations. The role requires close collaboration with senior leadership to identify new market opportunities, optimize resource utilization, and support long-term business expansion.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership, team management, and people development skills, with the ability to motivate and guide diverse teams.
- Operational management and process improvement experience, including workflow optimization, KPI monitoring, and performance management.
- Business strategy and planning capabilities, including budgeting, forecasting, and data-driven decision-making.
- Sales, marketing, and customer relationship management skills, preferably within industrial or commercial equipment sectors.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities, both internally and externally.
- Experience in supply chain, vendor management, and inventory control is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, or a related field; MBA is an advantage.
- Prior experience in a senior management or general management role, ideally in manufacturing, industrial products, or related industries.
- Comfort with using business software and analytical tools to track performance and support decisions.
- Ability to work on-site in Mumbai and adapt to a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
