Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a General Manager based in Mapusa. The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining the highest standards of service. Duties include managing staff, monitoring budgets, ensuring regulatory compliance, and designing strategies to improve operational efficiency. Additional responsibilities include implementing marketing and promotional plans, maintaining vendor relationships, and ensuring the hotel's overall performance meets company goals. This role requires a blend of leadership, organisational, and interpersonal skills to efficiently manage both back-of-house and guest-facing operations.
Qualifications
- Leadership and team management skills, with experience in supervising cross-functional teams and creating a positive work culture
- Budget management, financial acumen, and the ability to analyze operational performance
- Strong organizational skills and ability to oversee daily operations, logistics, and service standards
- Customer service excellence, fostering positive guest experiences, and handling inquiries or complaints efficiently
- Marketing and promotional skills, with experience in generating revenue and implementing innovative strategies
- Understanding of hospitality industry trends and regulatory compliance
- Proven experience in hotel management or related roles, with a hospitality degree or equivalent qualification preferred
- Knowledge of the local area and cultural offerings is an advantage
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
