Role Description The General Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Kotwan, responsible for overseeing daily restaurant operations and ensuring smooth service throughout all shifts. This role includes supervising staff, managing scheduling, and coordinating kitchen and front-of-house activities to maintain quality, hygiene, and safety standards. The General Manager monitors inventory, coordinates purchasing, and controls costs to support profitability, while handling cash management, basic reporting, and vendor relationships. Day-to-day tasks also involve resolving customer issues, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, training team members, and implementing operational improvements to enhance guest experience and staff performance.
Qualifications
- Experience in restaurant or hospitality management, with responsibility for daily operations and staff supervision.
- Strong skills in team leadership, training, and performance management to build a reliable and customer-focused workforce.
- Ability to manage inventory, purchasing, and cost control, including basic budgeting and cash handling.
- Customer service and communication skills to handle guest feedback, resolve issues, and maintain a positive atmosphere.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and compliance with local regulations in a restaurant environment.
- Organizational and problem-solving abilities to manage multiple tasks, peak hours, and unexpected operational challenges.
- Comfort working on-site in a fast-paced setting; prior experience in roadside dhabas or casual dining establishments is an advantage.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in hospitality or business management is a plus.
