About:
Futurecom Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (operators of SteelBazaar) is building Indiaβs first AI-powered, end-to-end B2B platform for the steel ecosystem.
We operate at the intersection of technology and steelβa space where most companies are either exposed to market cycles (commodities) or sentiment cycles (tech). By embedding AI into how steel is traded, financed, and manufactured, we are building a more durable, scalable business.
This is a rare opportunity to build and lead a core revenue function from the ground up.
The Role
We are hiring a General Manager / HOD to own the entire revenue gateway of the platform:
π Membership Sales β Onboarding β Activation β Revenue Realisation
You will be responsible for acquiring, onboarding, and activating participants across the entire steel value chain:
- Primary steel manufacturers & mills
- Secondary processors & fabricators
- MSMEs & SMEs
- Traders & distributors
- Scrap aggregators
- Plant & equipment manufacturers
- Industrial buyers
This role reports directly to the COO and sits within the core leadership team.
What Youβll Own
1. Platform Sales & Revenue Growth
- Build and scale the membership sales engine across India
- Design pricing, segmentation, and go-to-market strategy
- Drive revenue targets across multiple customer segments
- Build strong enterprise and MSME pipelines
2. Onboarding & Activation
- Own complete onboarding journey for every new member
- Design onboarding playbooks, SOPs, and customer journeys
- Improve activation rates and early-stage engagement
3. AI-Led Sales & Process Automation
- Deploy AI-assisted sales pipelines and agentic workflows
- Integrate automation across lead generation, qualification, and onboarding
- Continuously improve efficiency through data and AI tools
4. Team Building & Leadership
- Hire, train, and lead high-performance sales & onboarding teams
- Establish KPIs, performance frameworks, and incentive structures
- Drive a strong execution culture across field and inside teams
5. Industry & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build relationships across the entire steel ecosystem
- Engage with CXOs, plant heads, traders, and MSME owners
- Represent SteelBazaar in industry forums and meetings
Who Weβre Looking For
- Proven experience in B2B platform sales, memberships, or enterprise sales
- Strong exposure to onboarding, customer activation, and lifecycle management
- Hands-on experience with AI-led sales tools, automation, or CRM-driven pipelines
- Ability to operate as a player-coach (strategy + execution)
- Strong communication across boardroom, field, and team environments
- 6β10 years of relevant experience
- Background in steel, industrial, manufacturing, or B2B marketplaces is a strong advantage
