# Job Description: General Manager – EV Production (2-Wheelers & 3-Wheelers)
### *Company Overview*
We are a fast-growing, innovative Electric Vehicle (EV) manufacturing company dedicated to transforming urban mobility through our advanced EV 2-wheelers and 3-wheelers. As we scale our production capabilities, we are looking for an entrepreneurial, high-energy operations leader to head our manufacturing facility.
### *Role Summary*
* *Position Title:* General Manager – Production (EV 2W & 3W)
* *Location:* Dholka , Ahmedabad
* *Experience Required:* 8 to 12 years in Automotive Manufacturing (minimum 2–3 years explicitly in EV assembly/production).
* *Compensation:* ₹12,00,000 to ₹15,00,000LPA (Fixed) + Highly Lucrative *ESOPs (Equity)* for the right candidate.
## ## Key Responsibilities
### *1. Production & Plant Operations*
* *End-to-End Execution:* Oversee daily manufacturing and assembly line operations for both Electric 2-Wheelers and 3-Wheelers to meet aggressive daily, weekly, and monthly dispatch targets.
* *Shop Floor Management:* Effectively manage assembly lines, including powertrain integration, chassis assembly, battery pack installation, and final vehicle testing (including dyno testing).
* *Capacity Planning:* Implement long-term and short-term Production Planning and Control (PPC) models to seamlessly scale up capacity.
### *2. Quality Assurance & Compliance*
* Ensure every rolling chassis and finished vehicle adheres to internal quality metrics and standard regulatory standards (such as AIS 156 battery safety norms, CMVR regulations, etc.).
* Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Six Sigma, and Kaizen practices to minimize rejection rates and optimize resource allocation.
### *3. Supply Chain & Inventory Interfacing*
* Coordinate closely with Procurement, Vendor Management, and Stores to maintain optimum line-side inventory levels for high-value EV components (e.g., Hub Motors, Mid-drive Motors, MCU, BMS, and Wiring Harnesses).
* Manage Material Consumption and BOM (Bill of Materials) accuracy under frequent engineering change notes (ECN/ECR).
### *4. Team Leadership & Safety*
* Direct and upskill an internal team of production engineers, line supervisors, and technicians.
* Foster a zero-compromise safety culture regarding high-voltage electrical assembly and lithium-ion battery handling.
## ## Required Skills & Qualifications
### *Technical Competencies:*
* *Automotive Engineering:* Deep technical understanding of EV mechanical layouts, BIW (Body in White), chassis fabrication, welding, and painting processes for 2W/3W form factors.
* *Electrical Diagnostics:* Experience setting up end-of-line (EOL) testing, flashing vehicle controllers/BMS, and basic electrical troubleshooting.
* *Tech-Savvy Operations:* Hands-on experience working with ERP/MRP systems for production logging and stock management.
### *Behavioral & Leadership Competencies:*
* *Startup Mindset:* Highly adaptable, comfortable with ambiguity, and willing to work hands-on on the floor when production ramps up.
* *Problem-Solving:* Sharp analytical ability to resolve sudden bottle-necks in line execution or supply chain shortages.
* *Effective Communicator:* Ability to present clear, data-backed MIS updates directly to the executive leadership team.
### *Education:*
* B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical, Electrical, Automobile, or Production Engineering.
* Additional certifications in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Supply Chain Management will be highly valued.
