Job Summary :
The Lead – Business Intelligence ( Pharma Industry ) will be responsible for driving enterprise business intelligence and analytics initiatives for Sales and Marketing, including defining the BI roadmap, governance frameworks, and priority use cases. The role will enable strategic and operational decision-making by translating complex data into actionable insights for senior leadership. Working closely with leadership teams, the position will support portfolio strategy, commercial effectiveness, digital enablement, and scalable BI capability development across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Needs Assessment: Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Commercial Excellence stakeholders to understand priority business needs and translate them into clear, actionable BI and analytics requirements.
- Advanced Data Analysis: Drive analysis of large and complex datasets using advanced tools to uncover trends, generate actionable insights, and support data-driven strategic and operational decisions..
- Solution Design and Development: Develop and evaluate business cases and analytics solutions, including process enhancements, technology enablement, and data-driven initiatives to support business growth.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including senior leadership, to ensure alignment, transparency, and effective adoption of BI insights and solutions.
- End-to-End Project Management: Lead assigned BI and analytics initiatives from concept through delivery, ensuring timely execution, quality outcomes, and alignment with business priorities.
- Continuous Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to improve decision processes, metrics, and analytics workflows to enhance efficiency and commercial effectiveness.
Requirements
1. Education:
Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) in Business Administration, Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Artificial Intelligence, or Business Intelligence, or a related discipline is preferred.
Additional certifications in analytics tools or methodologies (e.g., Power BI, SQL, Python, advanced analytics and applied AI/ML platforms) are an advantage.
2. Experience:
10–15 years of professional experience, including substantial exposure to business intelligence, analytics, or commercial strategy roles within the pharmaceutical industry.
Demonstrated track record of delivering enterprise-level insights, influencing senior leadership decisions, and enabling data-driven sales, marketing, and commercial effectiveness outcomes.

Pharma & Commercial Acumen
Deep understanding of pharmaceutical business dynamics, regulations, and sales force effectiveness metrics
Problem Solving, Program Management
Ability to structure ambiguous problems and drive data-backed, solution-oriented decisions
Executive Communication
Communicate insights clearly to senior leadership through dashboards, presentations, and narratives
Manage multiple analytics priorities with focus on delivery, impact, and timelines

Influence cross-functional teams and drive adoption of data-driven ways of working
