The GM – Business Development will work closely with the Business Head and act as the execution backbone of the company’s commercial and operational functions. The role involves managing market expansion, channel partnerships, operational coordination, exports, and revenue execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate closely with the plant team to ensure smooth production planning and execution
- Drive channel listings and relationship management across:
- Modern Trade
- E-commerce platforms (Amazon, Flipkart)
- Quick Commerce platforms (Zepto, Blinkit, Instamart)
- Handle export operations including documentation, buyer coordination, and compliance for GCC & South Asian markets
- Build and manage distributor, supply chain, and logistics networks
- Support revenue planning, margin management, and cost discipline alongside the Business Head
- Build and manage a lean operations and sales team
- Ensure quality standards, compliance, and operational efficiency
- Track execution rigorously and drive business outcomes with ownership
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 10–14 years of experience in FMCG / packaged foods
- Strong exposure to both commercial execution and operational coordination
- Hands-on experience managing E-commerce and Quick Commerce listings
- Experience in exports (UAE, Gulf, Sri Lanka, or South Asia markets preferred)
- Strong understanding of distribution and trade ecosystem
- Comfortable working in a startup / growth-stage environment
- Builder mindset with strong execution capability and ownership
- Able to work independently with minimal hand-holding
- MBA preferred, but strong practical experience will also be considered
Location & Travel
📍 Based in Mumbai
✈ Regular travel to plant locations and key markets required
