Role Description The General Civil E3D Professional will work full time on-site at the Gurugram office, contributing to civil and structural design deliverables using E3D and related engineering software. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and updating 3D models, preparing layouts and detailed drawings, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring designs meet project specifications, codes, and safety standards. The role involves reviewing inputs from civil, structural, and mechanical disciplines, integrating them into comprehensive models, and supporting clash detection and design reviews. The professional will also assist in preparing documentation, reports, and material take-offs, while participating in internal and client meetings to clarify requirements and resolve design issues. This position requires proactive communication, attention to detail, and adherence to project schedules and quality processes.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in 3D design tools such as AVEVA E3D (or similar), along with strong skills in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) for civil and structural modeling.
- Solid understanding of general civil engineering principles, including site development, foundations, drainage, and structural layouts for industrial or infrastructure projects.
- Experience preparing and checking engineering deliverables such as plans, sections, GA drawings, reinforcement details, and material take-offs.
- Ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (civil, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical), interpret design inputs, and integrate them into coherent 3D models.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quality-checking skills, with a focus on accuracy, constructability, and compliance with relevant codes and standards.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document work clearly and participate in technical discussions and design reviews.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related discipline; relevant experience with E3D in industrial or infrastructure projects is highly preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in Gurugram, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing project priorities and client requirements.
