Product Director (Jewelry Industry)
Position Summary
We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Product Director to lead the strategic development, lifecycle management, and global growth of our jewelry product portfolio.
The ideal candidate must possess a minimum of 20 years of progressive professional experience, including substantial leadership experience overseeing cross-functional teams, product strategy, manufacturing collaboration, market expansion initiatives, and commercial product performance.
This position requires a seasoned executive capable of bridging luxury product innovation, operational excellence, customer expectations, and long-term business objectives within the jewelry industry.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Portfolio Leadership
• Define and execute the long-term product vision, roadmap, and portfolio strategy.
• Lead product planning initiatives aligned with corporate growth objectives and market opportunities.
• Identify emerging consumer trends, competitive dynamics, and innovation opportunities across the global jewelry market.
• Develop product lifecycle strategies from concept through retirement.
Cross-Functional Leadership
• Direct collaboration among design, merchandising, sourcing, manufacturing, marketing, sales, and executive leadership teams.
• Establish governance processes to ensure alignment between business goals and product execution.
• Lead and mentor senior product managers and cross-functional teams to achieve strategic objectives.
Market & Commercial Performance
• Analyze product performance, profitability, customer demand, and market positioning.
• Establish pricing strategies and product mix optimization initiatives.
• Drive revenue growth through product innovation and portfolio expansion.
• Evaluate market opportunities for new product categories and strategic business initiatives.
Manufacturing & Supply Chain Collaboration
• Partner closely with sourcing, procurement, production, and quality assurance teams.
• Ensure product development timelines, quality standards, and cost objectives are achieved.
• Support supply chain optimization and operational scalability initiatives.
• Collaborate with vendors and strategic manufacturing partners to enhance product competitiveness.
Customer & Brand Alignment
• Ensure all product initiatives support brand positioning and customer expectations.
• Translate customer insights into commercially successful product offerings.
• Work closely with marketing leadership to support successful product launches and market adoption.
Executive Reporting & Strategic Planning
• Present strategic recommendations and performance metrics to executive leadership.
• Develop annual product plans, investment priorities, and growth forecasts.
• Participate in corporate strategic planning and organizational development initiatives.
Required Qualifications
• Minimum 20 years of professional experience with increasing levels of management responsibility.
• Demonstrated experience leading large-scale product organizations and cross-functional teams.
• Strong background in product strategy, commercialization, portfolio management, and business growth.
• Experience managing multi-million-dollar product portfolios and revenue targets.
• Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders and drive organizational alignment.
• Strong analytical, financial, and strategic planning capabilities.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working within luxury goods, premium consumer products, manufacturing, retail, or jewelry-related environments.
• Familiarity with global sourcing, product development, and supply chain operations.
• Experience supporting international market expansion initiatives.
• Knowledge of digital commerce, omnichannel retail strategies, and evolving consumer purchasing behaviors.
• Demonstrated success leading organizational transformation and innovation initiatives.
