Position Summary
Lead and supervise mechanical field crews on new construction and remodel projects. Partner with the Superintendent to plan work, coordinate trades, drive safety and quality, and deliver on schedule and budget.
Key Responsibilities
· Assign, direct, and mentor craft employees; conduct daily huddles/toolbox talks.
· Read/interpret drawings, specs, and submittals; verify layout and field conditions.
· Coordinate labor, materials, tools, and equipment to meet milestones.
· Monitor productivity and workmanship; enforce GEMCO safety and quality standards.
· Complete time sheets and daily/weekly reports; support inspections, testing, and commissioning.
· Resolve field issues; collaborate with GCs, inspectors, and other trades; escalate risks promptly.
· Perform other related duties as assigned.
Physical Demands
Frequent standing, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs.; climb ladders; work from lifts/scaffolds and at heights; drive between job sites; work in varying weather; perform other manual labor as required.

Requirements
- High school diploma/GED.
- 4+ years’ combined experience in building construction/remodeling/project coordination, with mechanical systems exposure.
- Proven crew leadership; strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read blueprints/specifications; knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and sequencing.
- Basic computer/mobile proficiency (time entry, reports, email/apps).
- Demonstrated flexibility, initiative, dependability, resourcefulness, and decisiveness.
- Commitment to all safety policies and procedures; valid driver’s license.
Physical Demands
The position requires standing, bending, reaching, lifting a majority of the workday.
· Lift repetitively 50 pounds.
· Climb ladders.
· Work from scaffolding and lifts.
· Drive a company vehicle (truck).
· Capable of driving long distances (up to 14 hours per day) between job sites.
· Other manual labor as required.
