About the role

Job Description Summary

This role is required to attain customer requirements & manage customer witnesses to ensure that the product is tested & calibrated as per customer requirements. Also to ensure answering customer queries technically which need technical & interpersonal skills. Employees must be technically sound to handle high voltage electrical and electronics testing (6600Vac/10000Vdc/2000amps/Programmable base testing). Employee should lead and train the apprentice.

Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Thorough testing & troubleshooting of power products.
  • Responsible for achieving zero DPU, zero EHS incidents & maintaining 5S+ in testing area.
  • Responsible for handling global customer witness.
  • Improvement of testing procedure and test stand.
  • Justify and procures test hardware and other capital expenditures needed for production test.
  • Setup and deploys test hardware, software, stations, etc. in production.
  • Train new test technicians in the use of test equipment, test process and coach the testing team.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to plan test development schedules and allocate resources
  • Lead and drive continuous improvement projects
     

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
  • Minimum of 3-5 years related working experience in testing Power cabinets, control panels, converters, inverters, DCS, switch gears etc.
     

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience in testing of rectifiers, inverters and switch gears.Hands on experience in testing of exciter and starter will be added advantage.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Control & power cabinet testing,problem solving and pcba level trouble shooting​.
