- Role and authorization concepts (least privilege, segregation of duties)
- Role maintenance with PFCG
- User administration (SU01)
- Authorization troubleshooting (SU53, ST01, STAUTHTRACE)
HCM-Specific Authorization Expertise
- Infotype- and subtype-based authorization logic
- Understanding HR master data sensitivities
- Knowledge of personnel areas, groups, and payroll relevance
- Understanding core HR processes (hire, transfer, termination)
Structural Authorizations in HCM
- Organizational management basics (org units, positions, reporting lines)
- Structural authorizations for managers and HR roles
- Analysis of visibility issues related to org structure
Customizing and Enhancements
- HCM customizing related to authorizations
- ABAP read/debug skills for authorization checks
- Basic understanding of Fiori/UI5 or Web Dynpro if applicable
