Role Description
This is a full-time/contract remote role for a GCP Engineer. The GCP Engineer will design, implement, and maintain cloud-based solutions using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services. Responsibilities include deploying and managing GCP environments, optimizing cloud infrastructure, ensuring security and compliance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support AI and data workflows. The role also involves monitoring system performance and troubleshooting any cloud-related issues.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, and BigQuery
- Expertise in Cloud Architecture, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager
- Skills in Scripting and Automation using Python, Bash, or similar languages
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions
- Knowledge of Networking, Security, and Identity Management within cloud environments
- Strong understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
- Good problem-solving skills, ability to diagnose and resolve cloud infrastructure challenges
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred
- Familiarity with AI/ML workflows or data-intensive systems is a plus
- Certifications in GCP (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect) are advantageous
