🚀 Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated Software Development Engineer (SDE I) to join our Data Platform team. In this role, you will work on large-scale data systems (petabyte-level) and build reliable, high-performance data pipelines.
You will collaborate with senior engineers to develop scalable solutions, ensure data accuracy, and maintain system reliability.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
🔹 Core Development & Coding
- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Apache Spark (Scala/Java)
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code
- Implement new features following engineering best practices
- Write unit and integration tests
🔹 SQL & Data Analytics
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries (joins, window functions, CTEs)
- Perform data analysis and validation
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions
🔹 Troubleshooting & Reliability
- Debug pipeline failures and fix data issues
- Analyze logs and improve performance of Spark jobs
- Monitor pipelines to ensure data availability
✅ Required Qualifications
📌 Experience
- 1–3 years (or up to 6 years) in software development / data engineering
📌 Technical Skills
- Strong coding in Scala / Java / Python
- Strong SQL knowledge
- Understanding of Apache Spark / Hadoop
- Good problem-solving and debugging skills
🎓 Education
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in:
- Computer Science
- IT
- Engineering or related field
⭐ Preferred Skills
- Experience with data analytics or visualization
- Basic knowledge of Machine Learning
- Familiarity with Amazon Web Services / Google Cloud Platform
- Knowledge of Docker / Kubernetes
