Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Google Cloud Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-based data platforms and ETL/ELT pipelines using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) technologies. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in BigQuery, Python, SQL, and cloud-native data engineering services while ensuring performance, scalability, security, and data quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines using Python, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Cloud Functions, Cloud Composer (Airflow), and Dataform.
- Develop batch and streaming data ingestion frameworks.
- Build dimensional data models and optimize BigQuery performance and cost.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines, source control, automated testing, monitoring, and data quality processes.
- Collaborate with architects, business analysts, and stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions.
- Troubleshoot production issues and perform performance tuning.
- Implement cloud security, IAM, governance, and metadata management best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of Data Engineering experience with at least 3+ years on Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
- Hands-on experience with:
- BigQuery
- Cloud Storage
- Dataflow
- Cloud Composer (Airflow)

- Cloud Functions
- Cloud Pub/Sub
- Cloud Scheduler
- Experience with Git, Jira, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
