About the role

As the Airfield Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing the Airfield Operations team to ensure the safe, efficient and coordinated operation of the airfield and associated infrastructure. This includes the delivery of a range of airfield operational services and the implementation and compliance with all relevant airfield standards, procedures and regulations.You will have a key role in delivering the airport's strategic objectives in relation to safety, service delivery and continuous improvement. This will involve effective planning, communication and stakeholder engagement, as well as people leadership and management to ensure the team is motivated, developed and performing to a high standard.You will also play a critical role in the airport's emergency planning and response, as well as incident/crisis management.Key responsibilities include:- Accountable for the safe, efficient and compliant operation of the airfield and associated infrastructure- Lead, motivate and develop the Airfield Operations team to deliver a high-performing, customer-focussed service- Develop and implement airfield policies, procedures and risk management processes- Ensure effective command and control in airfield operations, including emergency/incident response- Optimise airfield performance through continuous improvement and best practice- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to align and coordinate airfield operations- Monitor and report on airfield KPIs and make recommendations for improvement- Assist with the development and implementation of the airport's Masterplan
