GC Analyst

Location: Barasat, Kolkata
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced GC Analyst with strong hands-on expertise in pharmaceutical analysis. The role involves routine and advanced testing of APIs, raw materials, and drug products using Gas Chromatography (GC) in a NABL-accredited laboratory.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform GC analysis for APIs, raw materials, and finished products
- Conduct residual solvent analysis as per ICH guidelines
- Work with IP / USP / BP methods and validated procedures
- Operate and maintain GC systems (Headspace, FID)
- Interpret chromatographic data and ensure system suitability
- Perform method validation / verification
- Handle OOS / OOT investigations
- Maintain documentation as per ISO/IEC 17025 (NABL) and GLP
Experience & Qualification
- M.Sc. in Chemistry / Analytical / Pharmaceutical Chemistry
- 8–10 years of GC experience (mandatory)
- Experience in pharmaceutical or TIC laboratory preferred
Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of GC techniques and residual solvent analysis
- Familiarity with ICH guidelines and pharmacopeial methods
- Good analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Strong documentation practices
