About the role

GARNEY CONSTRUCTION

A Project Manager position in Palmdale, CA, is available at Garney Construction. To be considered for this position, you must have previous project management experience in the water and waste-water construction industry.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Managing cost and "Work In Progress" projections.
  • Managing job site supervisory personnel.
  • Planning and scheduling the project.
  • Developing and maintaining owner relations.
  • Negotiating and purchasing materials.
  • Establishing and enforcing job site safety expectations.
  • Managing project costs.
  • Overseeing labor projections.
  • Contract negotiation and administration.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or other related Field.
  • 6-10 years in heavy civil construction industry
  • Large Diameter wet utilities: water, sewer, storm (required)
  • 2-3 years prior Project Management experience with a self-perform contractor
  • Experienced with CMAR and/or Design-Build projects
  • Must be able to adapt to a flexible schedule, support operational needs, and respond to urgent matters.
  • Willing to travel and or relocate.
