Their primary responsibilities include managing stock levels, receiving and inspecting deliveries, supervising staff, and ensuring the facility remains organized, secure, and compliant with safety regulations.Inventory & Stock ManagementStock Tracking: Maintain accurate, real-time records of all inventory items using manual or digital systems.Stock Audits: Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to prevent stock discrepancies.Reordering: Monitor minimum stock levels and generate procurement plans or purchase requests.Layout Optimization: Organize the storage facility logically for easy identification, access, and retrieval.Receiving & Quality ControlShipment Verification: Receive goods, verify details against Purchase Orders (POs), and check for any damages or shortages.Documentation: Generate Material Received Reports (MRR) and properly document all transactions.Stock Rotation: Implement the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) method to prevent the expiration or spoiling of perishable goods.Operations & MaintenanceOpening/Closing: Follow operational checklists to secure the premises, manage alarm systems, and secure cash registers.Facility Maintenance: Ensure the store remains clean, hygienic, and visually compliant with company standards.Security: Protect the store from theft, safeguard stored materials, and restrict access to unauthorized personnel.Staff Supervision & Customer ServiceTeam Leadership: Supervise store assistants and warehouse staff, including scheduling and performance monitoring.Training: Train new hires on daily operational duties, safety protocols, and company policies.Customer Interaction: Handle customer complaints, assist with inquiries, and resolve service issues.
