We are looking for an experienced and driven Garment Production Manager to oversee factory operations, improve production efficiency, and ensure on-time delivery while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Role Overview
The Garment Production Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring all garment production activities from fabric receipt through final packing. The role requires strong leadership, production planning expertise, and the ability to coordinate multiple departments to achieve production targets while maintaining quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, monitor, and manage daily garment production across all departments.
- Prepare and execute production plans based on customer delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with merchandising, planning, cutting, stitching, finishing, quality, and dispatch teams.
- Ensure production targets and shipment deadlines are achieved.
- Monitor work-in-progress (WIP) and identify bottlenecks before they impact deliveries.
- Ensure timely availability of fabrics, trims, and accessories in coordination with relevant departments.
- Conduct daily production meetings and review progress against production plans.
- Analyse production efficiency and implement improvements to increase productivity and reduce downtime.
- Maintain high standards of product quality throughout the manufacturing process.
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications and approved samples.
- Supervise production supervisors and department heads while fostering accountability and teamwork.
- Monitor machine utilisation, manpower allocation, and line balancing.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to minimise machine downtime.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and factory procedures.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports for management.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce rework, improve efficiency, and optimise production costs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Textile Engineering, Apparel Production, Fashion Technology, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in garment manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a production management role.
- Strong understanding of garment manufacturing processes.
- Experience in production planning, line balancing, and capacity planning.
- Strong knowledge of quality control systems and production workflows.
- Must understand English and be able to write emails in English.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple production priorities.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and production reporting systems. Experience with ERP software is an advantage.
