Job Description
The responsibilities of the Planner - Purchaser within Garden Remedies, Inc. (GRI) broadly embrace the key areas described below -
Responsibilities:
- Gather data daily/weekly from MRP
- Identify and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, and reliability
- Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
- Determines shipment quantities to dispensary locations as needed, ensuring sufficient inventory levels
- Reviews testing results
- Updates data tracking sheets, to ensure accuracy of models/forecasts
- Track deliveries and update order status in purchasing system
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, invoices, and vendor details
- Provides information to assist business operations
- Maintains extensive knowledge of GRI’s products
- Reports inventory issues/delays in a timely manner to management
- Completes other duties as assigned in a timely and appropriate manner
- Assists in the label department as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned in a timely and efficient manner.
Qualifications:
- Is knowledgeable about MA Compliance and reporting regulations
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, or highly motivated to acquire necessary skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Extremely high attention to detail, including the ability to detect abnormalities in data and report them to management
- Demonstrated history of strong attendance, including the ability to adhere to a strict schedule
- Three years’ experience in data analysis/planning, or equivalent degree preferred
- Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma principles or eager to acquire necessary knowledge preferred
- Ability to work within a team and maintain a positive attitude
- Strong work ethic
- At least 21 years of age
Supervision:
- Works under the general supervision of the Supply Chain Manager
- This position is not responsible for supervising other employees
Requirements:
- Demonstrated passion to serving the medical and adult-use cannabis community
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Strong computer operating skills
- Medical marijuana and recreational cannabis product knowledge highly desirable
- Experience in a complex, fast-paced environment
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to genuinely and respectfully connect with all partners/vendors
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
- Excellent Organization and planning skills
- Strong operational skills in a service environment
- Ability to pass all required background checks to work with MA cannabis
- Ability to build relationships both internally as well as in the community
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
- Ability to sit at workstation for long durations
- Ability to work a set schedule (M-F)
- Ability to be flexible and completes any and all duties as assigned
