About The Role
We are seeking a talented and passionate 2D Artist to join our creative team at Green Gold Animation Pvt Ltd. In this role, you will be responsible for creating high-quality 2D game assets that bring our children's entertainment to life. Your expertise will contribute to the development of engaging visuals for mobile and casual games, ensuring they are visually appealing, optimized for performance, and aligned with our artistic vision. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio demonstrating stylized, kid-friendly visuals, along with experience in game art production, UI design, and asset optimization. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on popular characters and contribute to projects that entertain and inspire young audiences globally.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor's degree in Animation, Fine Arts, Game Design, Multimedia, or a related field. A minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience as a 2D Artist within the gaming industry is essential. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Spine, and other relevant tools, with a strong understanding of the gaming pipeline and UI elements. A good sense of composition, color theory, and visual hierarchy is necessary to create compelling and cohesive assets. Experience in creating stylized, kid-friendly visuals is highly desirable, along with the ability to work efficiently within production timelines.
Responsibilities
- Create high-quality 2D game assets, including game backgrounds (static, loopable, and multi-layered scenes), props, objects, and environment elements that align with the game's art direction.
- Design clean, functional UI elements such as buttons, icons, and HUD components to enhance user experience.
- Deliver fully layered artwork with clear foreground, mid-ground, and background separation to support parallax effects and in-game visual effects.
- Maintain consistency in art style, color palette, proportions, and overall quality across all assets to ensure a cohesive visual experience.
- Optimize assets for mobile and casual games, ensuring they are performance-friendly in terms of file size and format.
- Implement feedback from the creative team and revise assets efficiently to meet project deadlines.
- Assist with basic video editing tasks, including creating game previews, promotional clips, and simple in-game animations or motion graphics.
- Support basic sound effects integration or minor editing tasks as required.
- Maintain an organized asset library, adhering to naming conventions and workflow standards for easy retrieval and collaboration.
