About The Role
We are seeking a talented and creative Unreal Engine VFX Artist to join our team remotely. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing visually stunning visual effects that enhance gameplay and elevate the overall player experience. Your work will involve creating a variety of effects such as UI animations, explosive effects, loot crate openings, and impactful finishing moves. The ideal candidate will have a passion for gaming, a keen eye for detail, and a strong understanding of VFX techniques within Unreal Engine. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative projects, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and showcase your artistic skills in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in game VFX creation, including UI animations, shaders, and particle effects.
- Strong proficiency with Unreal Engine, particularly Niagara particle systems.
- Experience with Houdini, Maya, and post-processing effects is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of optimization techniques for performance and memory management.
- Creative mindset with a passion for gaming and visual storytelling.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Portfolio showcasing previous VFX work in games or related projects.
Responsibilities
- Create and implement high-quality visual effects for various in-game scenarios, including UI elements, explosive effects, and character finishing moves.
- Collaborate closely with art, audio, and development teams to ensure visual effects align with the overall game design and artistic style.
- Optimize VFX assets to ensure they run smoothly across different hardware platforms without sacrificing visual quality.
- Stay updated with the latest trends, techniques, and tools in VFX and Unreal Engine development.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas for new effects and visual enhancements.
- Maintain organized workflows and documentation for VFX assets and related processes.
