About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr Unity Game Developer to join our dynamic team in Mumbai or Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mobile game development, with a focus on Unity3D, and will play a pivotal role in the end-to-end development of our engaging mobile titles. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects, collaborate with talented designers and artists, and contribute to the growth of our gaming portfolio.
The Sr Unity Game Developer will be responsible for translating game design documents into functional, high-quality games, ensuring smooth gameplay experiences across iOS and Android platforms. The role involves close coordination with cross-functional teams, rapid prototyping, and maintaining high standards of code quality and performance.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 4 years of experience in mobile game development, with at least 2 years dedicated to working with Unity3D. A strong understanding of both iOS and Android development environments is essential, along with experience integrating third-party SDKs such as MoPub, Google Play Services, Facebook SDKs, and other ad networks. A proven track record of delivering at least three published games on the App Store or Google Play is required.
Applicants should have a solid foundation in mobile game design patterns, architecture, and device APIs. Proficiency in Unity3D, Xcode, Objective C, and Android Studio is necessary. Experience with web services, databases, and disk access APIs for data fetching and storage is also important. Candidates should be adept at debugging, profiling, and managing memory for mobile applications.
Educational qualifications include a B.E./B.Tech or MCA degree. Certifications related to game development or Unity are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Understand and analyze game design documents to plan and develop games in collaboration with producers, artists, and technical leads.
- Take ownership of the entire game development lifecycle, from concept to publishing, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards are met.
- Rapidly prototype game ideas to evaluate feasibility and gameplay mechanics.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following industry standards and best practices.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in core technologies, game mechanics, and APIs, providing suggestions for new features and improvements.
- Coordinate with art, design, and QA teams to ensure seamless integration and testing of game components.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to SDK integrations, performance bottlenecks, and device compatibility.
- Contribute to optimizing game performance and enhancing user experience across multiple mobile devices.
