About The Role
We are seeking a talented and experienced Sr Unity Game Developer to join our dynamic team in Mumbai or Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mobile game development, with a focus on Unity engine, and a passion for creating engaging and innovative gaming experiences. As a key contributor, you will be responsible for end-to-end game development, from conceptualization to publishing, ensuring that our titles meet high standards of quality and performance.
This role requires excellent collaboration skills, as you will work closely with cross-functional teams including artists, designers, QA, and product managers. You will be expected to stay updated with the latest technological advancements in mobile gaming and provide insights and suggestions for new features and mechanics to enhance our games' appeal and functionality.
Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; MCA certifications are preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in mobile game development, with at least 2 years dedicated to Unity development.
- Proven experience in developing and publishing games on both iOS and Android platforms, with at least three titles available on the App Store.
- Strong proficiency in Unity3D, including scripting, animation, and optimization techniques.
- Hands-on experience integrating third-party SDKs such as MoPub, Google Play Services, Facebook SDK, and other ad networks within Unity projects.
- Familiarity with Xcode and Objective-C, as well as Android Studio for app compilation and debugging.
- Experience with implementing and troubleshooting web services, databases, and data storage APIs.
- Excellent debugging, profiling, and memory management skills to optimize game performance on mobile devices.
- Strong understanding of game design patterns, architecture, and device-specific APIs.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret Game Design Documents, collaborating with producers and artists to plan development workflows effectively.
- Take ownership of entire game development lifecycle, from initial prototyping to final publishing, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards are met.
- Develop high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code adhering to industry standards and best practices.
- Rapidly prototype game concepts to evaluate feasibility and gameplay mechanics.
- Coordinate with art, design, and QA teams to ensure seamless integration and testing of game features.
- Implement and troubleshoot third-party SDKs and APIs to enhance game functionality and monetization strategies.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies, tools, and industry trends to continually improve game development processes.
- Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior developers when necessary.
