About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Game Developer specialized in the Education Domain to join our dynamic team at TCS Mumbai. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing immersive educational games using cutting-edge technologies such as augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and 360 VR. This role involves leading a team of passionate developers to create engaging, interactive, and impactful educational content that enhances learning experiences across various platforms and devices. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and delivering high-quality game-based solutions that align with educational objectives and industry standards.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience in game development, with a focus on educational applications. A strong educational background in computer science, software engineering, or related fields is preferred. Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, XML, and Phaser JS is essential. Hands-on experience with AR, VR, and 360 VR technologies for creating immersive educational experiences is required. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with virtual teams are crucial. Leadership qualities, including the ability to guide and motivate a team of developers, are highly valued. A proactive attitude towards learning and adopting new technologies will be key to success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Create and develop engaging educational games, simulations, and experiences utilizing augmented reality, virtual reality, and 360 VR technologies.
- Lead and manage a team of passionate developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project milestones are achieved on time and meet quality standards.
- Translate design and style guidelines provided by the design team into functional, SCORM-compliant products that perform seamlessly across different browsers and devices.
- Implement process improvements by introducing innovative concepts and advanced methodologies to optimize development workflows.
- Identify opportunities for operational enhancements and apply cutting-edge techniques to streamline processes and improve productivity.
- Leverage industry best practices, emerging technologies, and multidisciplinary strategies to enhance product quality and development efficiency.
- Stay updated with the latest trends in game development, especially within the educational domain, to ensure offerings remain innovative and relevant.
- Address and resolve daily delivery escalations promptly to maintain adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
- Contribute insights and expertise to support the continuous improvement of product engineering and quality assurance processes.
