Tapnplay is a Bengaluru-based mobile game studio behind 60M+ downloads and three titles that have topped the US charts.
We're hiring a Game Designer to help us build our next hybrid-casual puzzle hit.
What You'll Do
- Own level design end-to-end across a full progression curve
- Design and prototype hybrid-casual & puzzle mechanics from concept through to a playable build
- Develop concepts with solid fundamentals - goal, fail condition, depth
- Review game feel - flow, pacing, sound, the details that matter
- Collaborate directly with our developer and artist to get concepts into testing quickly, iterating on internal and external playtest feedback
- Analyze top-charting hybrid-casual and puzzle titles to source and validate new mechanics
What We're Looking For
- 3-5 years of mobile puzzle game design experience, with real ownership of a shipped title's level design
- Proven level design ability - balanced, well-paced, intentional
- Proficient in Unity
- Sharp eye for game feel and attention to detail
- Strong ideation instincts - you think market, not just mechanics
- Genuine passion for playing and deconstructing mobile games, with a sharp, articulate eye for what makes a design work
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and analysis skills
