About The Role
We are seeking a talented and passionate Game Designer / Level Designer to join our creative team at Amgo Games. In this role, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and refining engaging game levels and mechanics that resonate with our target audience. Your expertise in hyper casual, hybrid casual, and puzzle mobile games will be instrumental in developing immersive gameplay experiences that are both fun and addictive. You will work closely with developers, artists, and other designers throughout the entire game development cycle, contributing innovative ideas and ensuring the delivery of high-quality content. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence the next generation of mobile games and showcase your creativity on a global platform.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess 1 to 4 years of experience in game design, specifically within hyper casual, hybrid casual, or puzzle mobile games. A strong understanding of game mechanics, player psychology, and monetization strategies is essential. Candidates should have proven experience in creating comprehensive Game Design Documents (GDD) and level design documentation. Creativity, storytelling ability, and problem-solving skills are vital for success in this role. Basic programming knowledge is a plus, but not mandatory. Excellent communication skills, teamwork, and adaptability are critical traits for collaborating effectively within a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities of this role include creating innovative game concepts and gameplay ideas inspired by market trends and social media platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. You will design engaging levels, missions, mechanics, reward systems, onboarding experiences, and overall gameplay flow to ensure a seamless and captivating player experience. Developing detailed GDDs that cover gameplay, UI/UX, monetization, retention, level balancing, and progression systems is a key part of your duties. Additionally, you will develop immersive gameplay experiences tailored for mobile users and collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams throughout the development process. Conducting playtesting sessions and iterating on gameplay based on feedback will be essential to maintaining high standards. You will also support and mentor other game designers on ongoing and upcoming projects, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and quality.
