Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Gallery Assistant role located in Pune. The Gallery Assistant will be responsible for supporting day-to-day operations, assisting with exhibitions, interacting with visitors, maintaining the gallery space, and coordinating with vendors and artists. Additional duties include supporting marketing activities, managing artwork inventory, and ensuring excellent client experiences by offering knowledgeable assistance and guidance about the artworks on display.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage gallery operations and exhibitions effectively.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, visitors, and artists professionally.
- Knowledge of or a keen interest in art and art history to assist patrons with inquiries and provide information about artworks.
- Basic proficiency in marketing and promotional activities, including social media management and event coordination.
- Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail to ensure smooth gallery function and presentation.
- Familiarity with inventory management and operational tools is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Art History, or a related field is preferred though not mandatory. A management and business degree also makes for a strong contention.
