Job Summary
In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, adjusting, operating, and maintaining cold forming (multi-hit) machines to produce high-quality parts efficiently and safely. This position plays a key role in ensuring production runs smoothly while meeting quality and productivity standards.
Duties
- Setup and troubleshoot cold forming multi-slide machines for production runs
- Setup and trouble shoot inertia and hydraulic vertical presses.
- Read and interpret blueprints, job orders, and specifications
- Perform tooling changes, adjustments, and machine calibrations
- Run and monitor production to ensure parts meet quality standards
- Inspect finished products using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
- Identify and resolve mechanical or production issues quickly
- Work closely with operators and supervisors to optimize performance
- Perform routine maintenance and ensure machines are in safe working condition
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements
Requirements, Education, Skills
- Prior experience setting up cold forming or multi-hit machines required. (Waterbury brand is a plus)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments
- Knowledge of tooling, dies, and machine adjustments
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical training a plus)
- Familiarity with preventative maintenance practices
