About the role

Role Purpose

  • The  role  holder  can  either  handle  budgeting,  billing  or both at project site. In budgeting, the role holder supports the Vertical Lead Budgeting & Billing – Project site in preparing & periodically updating the project budgets and BOQs and is responsible for capturing accurate data at timely intervals for a project and providing a first level analysis to the Vertical Lead.
  • The role holder identifies the deviations from the finalized budget and analyses the root cause of deviations while raising the concerns to the seniors.
  • The person is responsible for updating the RFI in the SAP system, reconciliation of material, BOQ, BOM and the amount of work done.
  • The role holder supports the Vertical Lead - B&B at the Project in preparing the documents for Change of Scope (CoS) (including quantity calculations) and client correspondence for the same. In billing, the role holder is responsible for timely client and sub-contractor billing.
  • The incumbent acts as a point of contactfor all budgeting and billing related concerns for the project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Budgeting
    • Provide  support  to  the  Vertical Leads  in  performing  quantity  (BOQ)  calculation  and  cost  planning. 
    • Execute costing related activities at the project site.
    • Monitor the progress of the project and provide a first level analysis of budget vs actual.
    • Ensure adherence to all contractual compliances.
    • Take responsibility for validation of RFIs, reconciliation of material, BOQ, BOM and the amount of work done.
    • Prepare accurate documents and client correspondence for all project related Change of Scope activities, under the guidance of the B&B Manager at project site.
    • Update the BOQ and other relevant data in the system accordingly.
  • Billing
    • Raise bills for client and sub-contractors working on project site.
    • Perform physical validation of client and sub-contractor bills based on the data captured in the RFI.
  • Reporting
    • Capture accurate data in the SAP systems at the project site.
    • Ensure adherence to standardized reporting mechanisms and defined timelines across project.
    • Provide analytical insights to the Vertical Lead from the captured data.

Indicative Experience and Exposure

  • Graduate in engineering, preferably Post Graduation in equivalent specialized stream.
  • Min 2 yrs. of working in the area of Planning & Billing on projects.
