Job Summary 

Under the direction of the Chief Deposit Officer, the Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing and executing the full digital and direct marketing and communications plan for FVCbank.  The goal is to achieve superior customer engagement, website traffic, and revenue by strategically utilizing all aspects of social media and other marketing roadmaps.


Essential Job Functions

  • Develop marketing and communication strategies including signage requirements, product and service brochures, implementing management plans, etc.
  • Develop and execute promotions and events 
  • Lead and execute strategies across multiple channels including customer emails, direct mail, web/digital properties, and social media 
  • Generate, edit, publish, and share daily content (including blog posts, press releases, social media and website copy)
  • Develop metrics and measurements plans for marketing campaigns to track effectiveness and ROI
  • Develop content for multimedia materials to align with business goals. Basic graphic design knowledge is expected. The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for creating graphics, flyers, signage, brochures and other advertisements
  • Assists in the product and services development to ensure customer satisfaction and financial institution profitability
  • Marketing and community outreach strategy planning and coordination for the bank’s target markets
  • Market analysis for the target communities
  • Researching cutting-edge marketing products or services relevant to the industry and providing feedback to the Chief Deposit Officer 
  • Reviews all advertising materials for correct terminology
  • Coordinates advertising projects, staying within established budgets and maintaining accurate records
  • Coordinates branch openings and financial institution participation in community events
  • Oversees all initiatives for the Bank’s brand
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Skills Required:

  • Two-three years of marketing experience or a bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills
  • Experience in executing multi-channel integrated campaigns tied to overall brand awareness
  • Strong computer skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, WordPress and a graphic design tool is expected 
  • Innovative and self-motivated
  • Knowledge of online marketing, digital ad campaigns and a strong understanding of major marketing channels and platforms
  • Detail and customer oriented with excellent organizational abilities

Essential Functions

  • Ability to sit, stand, kneel and bend for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other computer components
  • Ability to converse and exchange information with customers and all levels of staff within the organization
  • Ability to observe, perceive, and identify data
  • Ability to travel via air, rail, automobile, and/or bus
