Job summary:
Interns in this program will obtain a strong understanding of various departments throughout the bank and gain knowledge in the overall banking experience. In addition, you will be assigned projects throughout the internship.
Summary of essential job functions:
The Commercial Banking Summer Intern position is a temporary, full-time, training summer opportunity that will provide a high level overview of the Commercial Banking functions. The Commercial Banking Intern program is designed to provide career considerations to college students who have an interest in commercial banking and have demonstrated academic success. You will spend ten weeks learning about Commercial Lending, Commercial Credit Underwriting, and Digital Banking.
Minimum requirements:
• Undergraduate coursework in accounting, finance, or related field of study
Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
• Preferably prior work or academic experience with basic accounting and financial analysis
• Strong interest in finance, banking, entrepreneurship
• Proven analytical ability and attention to detail
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Developed organization and time management skills
Abilities required:
Strong listening, written and verbal communication skills
Effective planning and organizational skills
Excellent customer service skills and strong work ethic
Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently and as part of a team
Ability to interact with all levels of management, employees, industry peers, and customers
Additional Requirements:
Ability to sit, stand, kneel and bend for extended periods of time
Must be able to travel to multiple locations throughout the internship
Must be able to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other computer components
Ability to converse and exchange information with customers and all levels of staff within the
organization
Ability to observe, perceive, and identify data
