We are a dynamic and forward-thinking company seeking to hire a Director to lead our People and Culture Team. Your role will be instrumental in shaping and executing our global and regional People & Culture initiatives across our four US offices. This role partners closely with executive leadership to align People & Culture strategies with business goals, drive organisational effectiveness, and foster a high-performing and inclusive culture. This is a 6-month contract position, with opportunity for full-time employment at the end of the contract.

This role reports to the Global People & Culture Director, FutureBrand.

Overall Responsibilities

Strategic HR Leadership & Executive Partnership

  • Develop and implement a cohesive people strategy that supports the organisation’s global mission and goals and drives organisational effectiveness and cultural alignment

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Develop recruitment strategy aligned with business needs that include hiring budgets, plans, and objectives
  • Standardise recruitment strategies to ensure consistent use of equitable interview and selection guides that align with company values
  • Track key recruitment KPIs and analyse hiring trends to identify areas for improvement
  • Develop comprehensive onboarding frameworks tailored for local needs but aligned globally
  • Ensure onboarding includes company culture, compliance, role-specific training

Talent Management & Development

  • Lead workforce planning, talent recognition, and succession planning initiatives
  • Oversee the annual performance review process, ensuring alignment with company goals
  • Conduct annual talent needs assessments to ensure training is focused and effective
  • Design and implement learning and development programs in partnership with leadership

Employee Engagement

  • Conduct and analyse annual engagement and regular pulse surveys and implement engagement strategies to enhance employee experience
  • Be an active participant or lead of the CultureClub to drive employee engagement initiatives locally and regionally
  • Regularly analyse current engagement initiatives for alignment and enhancement for the employee population

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Function as a trusted advisor on employee relations matters, providing guidance on performance, absence, and conflict resolution
  • Ensure office compliance with FutureBrand, McCann & IPG standards
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. employment laws, Employee PI, and immigration requirements

Compensation, Benefits & Payroll

  • Partner with Finance and parent companies to design and manage competitive compensation and benefits programs
  • Ensure consistency and equity in pay and promotion decisions
  • Annual pay banding to ensure salaries are competitive in the marketplace
  • Be an active member of the 401K Committee
  • Annual review in partnership with external benefit brokers to ensure benefits are competitive in the marketplace

Offboarding

  • Develop a standardised offboarding process ensuring compliance with local legal standards
  • Work with HR members to collect, analyse, and report on exit feedback
  • Use insights to identify trends, uncover organisational issues, and inform retention strategies

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I)

  • Champion DE&I initiatives across recruitment, training, and policy development in partnership with local and global Embrace team
  • Foster a culture of conscious inclusion aligned with company values

Skills And Competencies

  • Experience working in highly collaborative, diverse and successful teams
  • 7-10+ years of experience in human resources, with demonstrated expertise in strategic leadership across multiple offices, team members, and parent companies
  • PHR or SHRM-CP required
  • Have a healthy mix of commercial understanding and HR knowledge
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to identify challenges and implement solutions effectively
  • Relevant HR qualifications desirable
  • Understanding of US employment law and immigration processes and how to apply them successfully within a business
  • Ability to influence, coach and advise at all levels
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • A proactive, collaborative and can-do attitude
  • A good presenter with strong storytelling skills and a natural ability to bring people on the journey with you.
  • Presentable, organised, and always well prepared.
  • A team player who can adapt their leadership and working style to suit individual projects and get the best out of different individuals.
  • A ‘can do’ attitude. An enthusiastic, positive, proactive and committed team player however challenging the situation may be.
  • Experience with multiple HRIS, ATS, and Employee Engagement platforms with experience with Workday, BambooHR, NectarHR, are preferred
  • Good IT skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience in a similar or complimentary industry, a plus.
