About the role

Description

A successful Endpoint Protection Administrator – Junior Level candidate will have:

  • Basic understanding of common cybersecurity threats.
  • Basic knowledge of cybersecurity tools (Antivirus, Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Vulnerability Scanning and Remediation) 
  • Familiarity with common operating systems, such as Windows and Linux OS.
  • Ability to learn on the job with the support of more experienced administrators.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience with the Trellix ePO suite of products, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Defender, or Tanium.
  • Experience with other threat detection tools and technologies (EDR, XDR).
  • Experience with Data Loss Prevention technologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities: 

  • Utilize the Trellix ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) suite to deploy and configure ESS components, including Trellix Agent (TA), Endpoint Security (ENS), Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and Policy Auditor (PA).
  • Utilize Microsoft Intune and Defender to ensure system compliance with compliance with DoD cybersecurity policies. 
  • Review vulnerability scan data and provide recommendations for resolving identified vulnerabilities.
  • Utilize BMC Remedy and ServiceNow to troubleshoot and resolve customer tickets related to ESS and endpoint security issues.
  • Document procedures, configurations, and security events related to Endpoint Protection for knowledge sharing and training purposes. 

Requirements

Education & Experience:

  •  Requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent 

Certifications:

  Candidate must be certified in accordance with DoD 8570 IAT Level II approved baseline certifications prior to start date: 

  • IAT II = Security+, CySA+, CCNA - Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP or higher. 
  • Microsoft AZ-900 within 120 days. 

Security Clearance:

  •  Active Secret or TOP Secret.

Other (Travel, Work Environment, etc):

  • The primary shift for this position is Monday -Friday, 0700 – 1530.
  • Certification requirements are subject to change at the government's direction. If this occurs you will have 120 days to become compliant
