About the Role
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Furniture Designer with hands-on experience in AutoCAD and related design software. The candidate will be responsible for creating furniture concepts, technical drawings, production-ready designs, and coordinating with the production team to ensure accurate execution of designs.
The ideal candidate should be smart, presentable, technically skilled, and capable of understanding both aesthetics and practical manufacturing requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Create furniture design concepts, layouts, and detailed technical drawings.
Prepare 2D and 3D designs using AutoCAD and other relevant software.
Develop production drawings with dimensions, material specifications, and finishing details.
Assist in material selection, finishes, and product development.
Ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, and production-friendly.
Visit sites or factories when required for measurements and execution support.
Generate Bill of Quantities (BOQ) & Determine Costings.
Required Skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks CAD is mandatory.
Knowledge of software such as SketchUp, 3ds Max, Rhino, or similar tools.
Good understanding of furniture materials, dimensions, joinery, and manufacturing processes.
Ability to read and prepare technical drawings.
Good communication and coordination abilities.
Candidate Profile
2-5 years of experience in furniture/interior/product design.
Experience working in furniture manufacturing or custom furniture projects preferred.
Smart, energetic, and eager to grow in a long-term role.
