Company Description The One Design Studio by DaOne Ventures is a modern direct-to-consumer furniture brand specializing in smart, well-designed furniture for contemporary spaces. For custom projects, the team collaborates closely with customers to understand requirements, curate design concepts, and deliver finished furniture solutions. An in-house manufacturing unit enables end-to-end control over quality, craftsmanship, and timelines. This setup offers design professionals the opportunity to work on diverse projects from concept through production.
Role Description This is a full-time Furniture Designer role based in Faridabad with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing some work-from-home flexibility. The Furniture Designer will create functional and aesthetically appealing furniture concepts, develop detailed drawings, and prepare specifications for production. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with the design and manufacturing teams, selecting materials and finishes, and ensuring designs align with brand standards and customer requirements. The role also involves refining prototypes, coordinating with carpenters and vendors, and supporting quality checks during fabrication. The Furniture Designer will contribute to new product ranges as well as bespoke client projects, balancing design innovation with practicality and cost-efficiency.
Qualifications
- Furniture design skills, including concept development, detailed drawings, and understanding of Furniture construction.
- Hands-on knowledge of Carpentry processes and materials to ensure designs are feasible and durable.
- Interior Design and Product Design capabilities to integrate furniture within broader spatial and product contexts.
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., CAD tools, 3D modeling) for visualization and technical documentation.
- Strong sense of aesthetics, ergonomics, and usability, with attention to detail and finishing quality.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Furniture Design, Product Design, Interior Design, or a related field.
- Prior experience in furniture or product design, especially in D2C or custom project environments, is an advantage.
