Role Description The Furniture Designer at INCEPPT THE GROUP OF COMPANIES will work on-site in Surat in a full-time capacity, designing innovative, functional, and aesthetically pleasing furniture pieces aligned with project requirements and brand standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing design concepts, creating detailed drawings and 3D models, selecting materials and finishes, and coordinating with carpenters, suppliers, and the in-house design team to ensure precise execution. The role involves collaborating closely with interior designers and project managers to integrate furniture solutions into broader interior schemes, while balancing design quality, comfort, durability, and cost-effectiveness. The Furniture Designer will also participate in client presentations, incorporate feedback, maintain accurate documentation, and support quality control during production and installation.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Furniture Design, with the ability to create ergonomic, functional, and aesthetically cohesive concepts.
- Practical understanding of Carpentry and Furniture construction methods to translate designs into feasible, durable products.
- Knowledge of Interior Design principles to harmonize furniture with spatial layouts, materials, lighting, and overall project themes.
- Experience or training in Product Design, including user-centered design, materials selection, and manufacturing considerations.
- Proficiency in design and visualization software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D modeling tools, Adobe Creative Suite or similar).
- Diploma or degree in Furniture Design, Interior Design, Product Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail, creative problem-solving skills, and the ability to balance quality, budget, and timelines.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams and on-site craftsmen.
- Previous experience in furniture or interior projects, especially in turnkey or project-based environments, is an advantage.
