Role Description The Fundraising Intern role is a full-time, remote position focused on supporting Sarwa’s resource mobilization and donor engagement efforts. The intern will assist in identifying potential donors and partners, researching funding opportunities, and maintaining databases of contacts and outreach activities. Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting fundraising proposals, donor communication materials, and social media or email content that highlight Sarwa’s programs and impact. The intern will help organize virtual fundraising campaigns and events, coordinate follow-ups with donors and partners, and support reporting on fundraising activities and outcomes. This role involves close collaboration with program and communications teams to ensure that fundraising messages are aligned with organizational goals and values.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in research, data collection, and basic analysis to identify and evaluate potential donors and funding opportunities.
- Candidates should possess strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft proposals, emails, and outreach materials clearly and persuasively.
- Candidates should possess organizational and project management skills, such as time management, planning, and attention to detail for coordinating campaigns and tracking activities.
- Candidates should possess interpersonal and collaboration skills to engage with internal teams, external partners, and donors in a professional and respectful manner.
- Candidates should possess basic digital literacy, including familiarity with office productivity tools, online research, and social media platforms used for outreach.
- Enrollment in or completion of a degree in social sciences, non-profit management, business, communications, or a related field is beneficial.
- Demonstrated interest in social impact, community development, or working with underprivileged populations is highly valued.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to ethical and non-discriminatory practices is required.
