Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Fundraising Intern. The Fundraising Intern will be responsible for researching potential donors, drafting grant proposals, and assisting in creating fundraising campaigns. The role involves maintaining donor databases, preparing reports on fundraising efforts, and reaching out to donors and partners. Additionally, the intern will explore innovative ways to support Sarwa’s mission by fostering relationships with corporate and individual donors and strategizing new approaches to generate funding for the organization’s programs.
Qualifications
- Strong research and analytical skills to identify potential donors and funding opportunities
- Experience in writing grant proposals, creating presentations, and preparing reports
- Interpersonal and communication skills to engage with donors, partners, and stakeholders
- Creativity and strategic thinking in developing fundraising campaigns and innovative funding solutions
- Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks
- Basic knowledge of fundraising tools, donor management platforms, or related technology is an advantage
- Preferred: Educational background in nonprofit management, public relations, communications, business, or a related field
- A passion for social development and commitment to Sarwa’s mission of empowering underprivileged communities
