Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Fundraising Intern. The Fundraising Intern will assist with researching and identifying fundraising opportunities, developing grant proposals, and maintaining donor relations. Daily tasks include creating effective communication materials, organizing virtual fundraising campaigns, managing donor databases, and contributing to the development of new strategies to grow financial support for Sarwa’s initiatives. The selected candidate will work closely with the fundraising team to ensure goals are met and funds are utilized effectively to support Sarwa's mission.
Qualifications
- Strong research skills for identifying and analyzing funding opportunities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proposal writing and donor correspondence
- Basic knowledge of fundraising campaigns, donor relations management, and grant processes
- Ability to create compelling presentations and marketing materials
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks remotely
- Passion for social development, education, and community empowerment
- Proficiency in tools like Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and familiarity with donor management software
- Prior experience in non-profits or fundraising is a plus
- A degree in Communications, Business, Non-Profit Management, or a related field is preferred but not required
